Since France declared that the country is ready to welcome international students again to its shores, another good news comes for Indian students who are looking forward to studying in France. The Visa Felicitation Service or VFS centers have re-opened after the pandemic in selected Indian cities for accepting the applications for a long-stay student visa in France. It is the most applied among Indian students going to study in France for the long term, full-time courses in French Universities.
Which VFS Centres would take Applications?
As of now, three VFS application centers in India would be taking the applications and those are Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi and Chennai. From August 17th, all three of VFS centers have been opened for Indian students who are looking to apply for a long-stay student visa in France. Though under the ‘new-normal’ only a few applicants will be allowed in these centers, this still comes as good news for the Indian students who have been long waiting for some information regarding their plans to study in France.
How will it work?
Anyone who would be visiting the VFS centers for the France Visa Application will be subjected to checking the body temperature, and they would be asked to wear masks (mandatory) and gloves if required. If someone’s body temperature registers above 38 degrees celsius, or they are showing any other symptoms of Covid-19 (coughing or difficulty breathing), the appointment would be rescheduled to a later date.
Important Steps and Things to Remember:
The candidates are required to book an appointment beforehand on this link before visiting the VFS center. As we have mentioned above, only a limited number of applicants will be attended at once. The candidates would also be required to complete the courier formalities for the returning of the passport, as they would later not be allowed to visit the centers physically to collect their passport, therefore it is very important to keep in mind.
Another important thing to remember is that the Consulate General of France at Bangalore has only opened up to collect the applications. The issuance of Visas for the same have not yet begun until further notice.
This is what one will have to follow while attending to the VFS France application centers for Indian students. If you want to know about how it would be to study in France for Indian students from August 2020, visit: France Ready to Welcome International Students Once Again from August 2020
